The CleanUp Campaign

The CleanUp  Campaign

 A sparkling spirited cleanup campaign was conducted at Indian Social Club Salalah on January 1 2013. The main motive of the campaign was to clean up all the Non - Biodegradable wastes and  20 Members of Project GreenOman actively participated in this venture.

Nature Walk

We felt that in order to save nature, first we should know nature better...Hence we conducted a Nature Walk on 18 November 2012. 15 members, four parents and many others from the neibhorhood actively participated in this NATURE WALK.

The Charity Meet 2012 & Our Do It Yourself Booklet

Do It Yourself Booklet & The Charity Meet 2012

The resources of the Earth are decreasing and due to this it is important that we follow the 3 Rs (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle). But most of the people  do not know how to do these and so we printed 'Do It Yourself ' booklets on how to recycle materials like paper, used tins and plastic bags. With the help of a ministry official we successfully  circulated these booklets. The fully illustrated second edition of the booklet is currently being edited.We also advised friends to follow the principle of 3 Rs  and  instead of throwing our old clothes we organized a Charity Meet 2012 in which we  gave  these clothes to the poor. We have also posted information about this topic on our website.

We also conducted Poster making contests on the topic Saving Biodiversity. We made many powerpoint presentations (.ppt) regarding this topic and mailed them to our friends.

We have to save plants & animals and maintain the balance in nature if we have  to save earth. So we organised 'Planting a sapling day' on Friday, May 11, 2012 in which many people participated enthusiastically.
